good job, but pricey
I had jeans altered which required hemming and being taken in at the waist (1 seam at the back). The jeans looked good, but I thought the $28 I paid was a bit high. The same alteration in Chicago cost me $15.

Top quality alterations, reasonable prices
Class Tailors is a great place to get alterations done with top-notch quality for a reasonable price. You could probably get the work done at other places for less money, but you get what you pay for. I will continue to bring all of my clothing there for any alterations in the future as long as their work stays great and the price doesn't get too high.

BEST in the area with VERY REASONABLE PRICES
I decided to post a review after witnessing a very mean customer (mjenna23) being rude to the tailor (the tailor is such a nice lady and I feel so bad for her) and threatening to post a bad review if the tailor didn't lower her price. I was coincidentally there picking up my own dress at the same time that the rude customer was picking up her dress. Boy, was she a meanie, yelling and complaining about the price and threatening to post a bad review online if the tailor didn't lower the price. She went on to claim that the price quote was different from the price being charged. Now, I don't know what happened beforehand...there might have been some miscommunication or misunderstanding, but the price charged was very reasonable. I've been bringing my dresses and other finer clothes there for years after having unsatisfactory results with numerous tailors in the area, and they are by far THE BEST with the MOST REASONABLE prices. With that being said, please do not take advantage of people who clearly do not have control of the English language at the level that you have (yes I'm talking to you mjenna23) . Instead, be a little more polite, lady-like, and 'smarter' by paying for the alterations when you drop off your clothes, not when you pick it up. That way, you know exactly what the price is even if there is some miscommunication.

Worst Customer Service
What initially was a positive experience turned into a very sour one when I went to pick up the bridesmaid dress I had altered. During the fitting process, the owner was efficient and nice. I specifically asked her how much it would cost to alter the dress and she gave me a price.

When I came to pick it up, the price was almost double what was quoted to me. When I pointed this out, she argued with me telling me that she had only quoted the price of one specific alteration, not the price to alter the whole dress. Ok, what?! When I ask how much it will cost to alter a dress, I expect that the only price you quote to me to be the total. How can you make additional alterations that will add to the cost of the dress without clearing it with your customer?

Anyways, we went round and round, but she wouldn't budge. I was forced to pay to even get my dress back. The work is decent but overpriced. The customer service is awful and how they "quote" prices is just plain shady. I will not go back.

feeling gypped
I recieved a quote for alterations for a formal dress. Upon picking up the dress, thy charged me over 3 times the amount they had quoted me. They had my phone number but had failed to call me and say that the price had gone up. During our insuing discussion they would not listen to my rational and simply repeated their side of the story ad infinitum. Please take your business elsewhere.
