I was with L.A. Times Federal Credit Union then it became Cityside Federal Credit Union. Soon after that it became Southland. The after-the-fact letter to members characterized the impromptu merger as on that would expand service and offerings to its members. Right. Southland has deducted so many fees from my account that I cringe for not trusting my instinct: Going elsewhere. I recommend Rancho Credit Union. They treat their members like Southland/ Cityside use to. If I wanted to be "given the business" by corporate America, I would have gone to Chase or Bank of America.‎
