Christian Louboutin shoes are so elegant and have so much prestige that the salespeople don't have to do anything. I saw another comment about wrong sizes. There are different sizes in Italy and the US and most women think they have bigger feet than they actually do and once they get the right size, they feel much better. I am US size 5 1/2 and Italian 35 1/2 but wear 36 in other brands. It depends.

Back to Loubi, these shoes are the best way to pamper yourself. Take your time, walk around on the red store carpeting. When I go, since I have small feet, they usually don't have my size. They don't have lots of sizes anyway because it LUXURY.

But go regularly if you are in the neighborhood and like to shop. If you get the right pair, I swear you won't regret it. They are elegant, walkable, and make skirts, dresses and pants look very sexy.

I recommend no higher than 10cm because after that they have platforms under the sole and they are hard to walk in.

I love the "classic" pump which is the easiest to walk in of the high heels or if you have narrow feet, the "jazz" pump. For tall women, look at Carla Bruni, she almost always wears Louboutin flats.

Take your time, choose wisely, it's an investment. Also, to prolong the life of your shoes, when the soles start to get used, take them to a shoe guy right away to add a new sole in rubber. They don't make red ones yet, but I just get them in black. You can also get the tip of the heel replaced.

These shoes will last a long time and be worth the investment if you know how to care for them.

I have been searching for almost two years for a matching red pump and clutch. I finally decided upon Christian Louboutin. I found the clutch at Nordstrom. So, I went in to find some red Ron Ron pumps and stopped at this store. The salesperson said they ran small and brought me a size 39 which fit perfectly. I told him that I wanted to suggest the shoes to my boyfriend for my Christmas present so the salesperson wrote the size and style on the back of his business card. I gave the card to my boyfriend who surprised me with the pumps on Christmas. When I put them on, they were too small to wear. I had planned to wear them that night in Vegas. I had to wear something else. My boyfriend said he got attitude from the salesperson, who had taken the card into the stock room and returned with a size 38 and wrapped up the gift. This basically ruined my Christmas because I was unable to wear the generous gift I had been waiting so long to wear and my boyfriend was treated poorly while spending $600 on a pair of shoes. SKIP!
