I have been using Dr. Christakis for over 5 years. I have 3 children and I couldn't be happier to have him as a Dr! His nurse Alice is wonderful and always takes plenty of time to answer any questions over the phone or in person. I have never had a problem getting in to see a Dr. If I call and have a sick child I am always told to come on in. I have lots of friends that see Dr's in huge practices where they have to wait for an hour in a waiting room-this is not the case w/ Dr. Christakis. His small boutique practice is top notch and the $250 fee is well worth it and if you really are in a fin. situation he will work a payment plan out w/ you...bottom line I wouldn't use anyone else for my kids...

Dr. Christakis is a wonderful single practitioner who knows my child. It is comforting to know that when we go to the pediatrician that we will see the same doctor every time. Dr. Christakis has been taking care of my son for 11 years, since his birth. It is true he has limited office hours, but once you learn how to work around this you can manage quite well. As a patient in his practice, you also have privileges at another local practice who has extended and weekend hours in case you cannot wait. I have used this option about 4 times in the 11 years. What you gain with Dr. Christakis is a single practitioner who really knows your child. My son has experienced developmental delays as well as freak illnesses for which Dr. Christakis has given impeccable care. I have always found him to be cautious. He's always referred us to top notch specialists. When my son was in the hospital for a week, Dr. Christakis was there to visit us every day even though a specialist was in charge of the case. We never saw a bill for the time he spent with us. After the hospital stay, Dr. Christakis made himself completely available to us to help coordinate home health care and answer any questions or concerns that would arise. The $250 family practice fee is well worth it! For all Dr. Christakis had done for us, I happily pay the fee in order to help him maintain the small single practice that he has created.

Dr. Christakis is a nice man and a good doctor but he has limited office hours and is now charging his patients $250 per year add'l to be a patient. I have since found out 2 of my friends have switched from him in the past because they were unhappy with his office and his treatment. His nurse, Alice, is wonderful and we will miss her.

Dr. Christakis is a nice doctor but I felt he was very quick and seemed anxious to get out during questions. We were with him for three years and when we found out we were being charged a $250 fee per year on top of his regular charges it was the last straw. As it is he doesn't take many forms of insurance and we changed insurance so my kids could continue to see him. We have switched to Boca Pediatric Group. My kids weren't sick much and I thought the services being provided by Dr. Christakis was good but after switching I now know better.
