Still Very Good After A Decade
I've been going to this Chopstix for lunch off-and-on for over a decade, and I always enjoy it. The food is good and isn't expensive. And as several other reviewers have noted, it's one of the few places I've found in San Diego that serve ramen, which I really like.
Most recently, I went there a few months ago to meet a friend for lunch. And you know what? Nothing much has really changed over the years, not even the menu. The up-side to that is the food is still very good (so long as you like salty ramen), and the prices are still low. If there's a downside, it's that the interior decor, which was already a little dark and tired a decade ago, has 10 more years of wear and tear on it now.
Another issue remains parking, because Chopstix is located in an unassuming little strip mall on Convoy with just a few parking spaces.
I hadn't been there in over five years until I went back for lunch a few months ago. I think it tells you a lot about what I think of the place that I was genuinely excited to see that it was still there and serving the same food, and that, when I left the restaurant after my lunch, I was just as happy and already looking forward to going back again sometime soon.
