I Wanted To Like It, But Couldn't For...
As noted in other reviews, this is a considerably cheaper option than most other restaurants in the area, but is it worth it? I got takeout. Orange Chicken and MuShu Chicken. But, we should start from the top. Egg drop soup was something my nephew could craft more effectively with a mix. The egg roll was from frozen, a la Costco. Fine, I was really in it for the entrees. Now, China Cafe boasts that all their chicken is white. They possibly use bleach to accomplish that. The orange chicken was ordered medium and was, by any standards, absolutely tongue burning hot. The chicken was tough and stringy, as if it had not only been bleached, but had been plunged in hot oil while sporting a bad case of freezer burn. The taste was good, but was completely spoiled by the quality of the mystery meat. As for the Mu Shu chicken, it was overly salty, the veggies were soggy, the taste was negligible and the whole thing had a delightful rancid oil aroma.
