terrible terrible place by katie b. at InsiderPages
i worked there for 2 summers, i was late searching for a job the 2nd summer and had no where else to work and when i called the day before camp started of course Mrs Fox told me there was an opening. i got told by the full time staff i should have my head examined for coming back! we made BELOW minimum wage, and didnt receive a break. we had to eat with the children. the only good person that worked there was Bonnie, and she was only there because her 2 sons got to go there for free! if you worked for 6 and a 1/2 hours you were lucky if you got paid for like 5 but they wouldnt allow us to make photocopies of our time cards. if there was more to do and they didnt try to cheat everyone out of money it would have been an amazing place to work. the canteen was a ripoff to the children. mr and mrs fox would buy in bulk from costco and then charge the kids like $2 for a candy bar, and mr fox tried to cheat one of my 5 year olds out of her $6 change, luckily i was there and said where is her change! the employees in the infant room were amazing, and i think its ridiculous that when children would stay for pm room they would end up in the infant room, it wasnt fair to the children, their parents were paying good money and all they could do was sit on the floor. not fair to the children at all!!

Changing by donna b. at InsiderPages
My son has been going to Children's PlayHouse since he was 2 years old. He really enjoyed it up until this past summer camp. I noticed myself the change in the school and it's a shame. My son would tell me he didn't want to go to camp anymore, when I asked why he said we can't do nothing, hardly went outside, very little crafts and he said the teacher was always yelling. Not to mention that he had to start his mornings in the babies room, because they were so short staffed. There is one summer teacher that I noticed was not nice at all to the children, I felt bad and if I heard her talking to my child that way, I would have definately complained to Miss. Linda or Mrs. Fox.

The school teachers were great with the kids, but camp is just not the same since they stopped the swim club next door.
Its sad, for once it was a great school and camp, now I am actually glad that my son is out.

Advance was misinformed by Lauren L. at InsiderPages
Mrs. Fox is an honest, hardworking director. The money made out to herself was only done AFTER she paid her employees out of her own pocket. I've attended the school, summer camp, and have grown up to work at the camp itself after the news report. I have to say that I did very well in school and was accepted to top universities. I believe my foundation in The Childrens' Playhouse helped me learn quickly and easily as I entered elementary school. I highly recommend The Childrens' Playhouse and hope to enroll my own children there someday.

loved this school and summer camp.... by gina d. at InsiderPages
Both of my children attended this school and camp...they are now 12 and 8...they are very bright in school and were from kindergarten. They both attended the UPK and camp and loved it. They were very prepared for kindergarten and learned so much from their teacher Ms. Phyllis and Ms. Lisa. Mr. & Mrs. Fox are very nice and very organized. Linda is great. She is both caring and nurturing to the children and always kept me informed. Yes it was a little more money but you get what you pay for. It was worth every penny knowing that my children were in good hands and peace of mind is priceless. They used to go swimming in the pool twice a day during the camp session and there was always a life guard present. You only had to pay more if you wanted private awimming lessons from the lifeguard at 15.00/hour which I think is reasonable. The camp had a daily calender with a schedule of daily activities and theme days. My kids favorite days were crazy hat day, carnival day, and the live animal show days. I could go on and on but it would take too long. Let me conclude that my son, who is now 8 and has since attended other camps due to the closure of the Children's playhouse camp, just requested yesterday if he could go back to this camp...he has yet to like any other camp since...so all you bitter angry people with your own agenda...you stand to be corrected from a family who loved this school and camp and still does....I came across this review in attempts to see if they re-opened the camp..I really wish Mrs. Fox would re-open the camp...it was the greatest and we miss Linda...

Wonderful Daycare and school by Pauline T. at InsiderPages
My 2 children were both there for 10 years combined. My daughter is now 10 and my son is 5. They both did extremely well at Children's Playhouse from infants to UPK. It does seem that the most complaints are from the strictly UPK parents who expect the world for 2 1/2 hours a day and do nothing at home with their kids. These are the same parents who complain all the up the education ladder. It is always the school fault.Kudos to this place. My children are both excellent students and we have made lasting friendships over the years.
