wish it was better‎
I'm always searching for the biggest, junkiest music shops, and this is the best that Tucson offers. I head right upstairs when I go in. I'm always looking for some old 80s or 90s rackmount effects units or sequencers, and I expect those items to be incredibly cheap, but the prices are usually set to what they were when they were first manufactured! Come on, get real. The people that want to buy something that old and that obscure are not suckers. That's not to say they won't haggle with you, which is good. If all else fails, head to Metro-Gnome.‎

Store has come a long way.
It's true that Chicago Store used to be a big dump, but they have cleaned things up in the last couple years--both in terms of the store and customer service. The range and selection of instruments and equipment is quite good compared to other stores in Tucson, especially if you know what you are looking for. If you are looking to make a big purchase, be willing to haggle if you want a reasonable deal. Chicago Store sets retail prices high, but they will usually negotiate. Some things never change. haha‎

What a mess
I'd have to agree with the previous review. Exceptionally poor service. I was not greeted once during my 20 minute visit navigating the maze of gear and instruments; even though I was nearly run over multiple times by their associates running about the store with hand-trucks and gear, etc... The prices were outrageous, 'tho I think the marked prices are inflated to take advantage of people who must use their in-store financing. Stop in if you want to see overpriced, poor condition gear and like to be ignored!.‎
