The Chicago Cubs are up for sale. On Opening Day of the 2007 baseball season, Sam Zell, new owner of Tribune Co. announced they are putting the Cubs on the auction block. However the big question is if the Landmark ballpark would be included with the Cubs Team. By the way - Sam Zell paid 8.2 billion for Tribune Co. it only cost him around $352 million and rolled out a innovative ESOP plan to cover the rest of the $8.1 billion. Also to be sold is the 25% interest in broadcast partner Comcast SportsNet Chicago.
