They have a great selection of fabrics... Gorgeous silks and lots of jerseys, wools, and cottons. They hardly ever disappoint me. They have quality for cheap, but be prepared to search. They are well organized and helpful!‎

I've been to every store on west 39th street and chic fabric is by far the best store there. They have an incredibly wide variety of fabrics including silk, chiffon, cotton, velvets, wool, prints, and solids. If you need suiting fabrics then this is definatly the place to go. The prices are imposible to beat, there are always great sales and no other store on the block can beat them. The employees were very helpful and nice. The store is very organized and everything is easy to find.‎

While this store offered a wide variety of many fabrics in an organized layout, the customer service was surely lacking. The employees/owners exuded an aura of dry and sarcastic unfriendliness even when the people I was with tried to make conversation with them. There was a sale on cotton jersey, and when I asked for 1 1/2 yards of jersey from a bolt that was behind many others, the man who was helping me laughed/scoffed to himself as if to say, "I really have to get to the roll WAY back there for JUST one and a half yards?!" Because the sale price was cheap, however, I ended up getting more. When I was in the store, there was another customer dealing with the owners about price labeling (he quoted her a more expensive price than what was on a tag) So I know the unenjoyable customer experience was not just me!! If you are looking for a wide selection in suit/shirting material or silk chiffon or shantung, you will find it here, but be prepared for less than stellar customer ...
