Fun place to bring the kids. Can get a little loud on the weekends though. Great location in Del Mar, with ok food and good margaritas.

Chevys is definitely one of my favourite Mexican restaurants. The staff are friendly, the service is great, and so is the food! I'd reccomend it to anybody who likes a good plate of Mexican food. They give you a heaping helping, for an unbelievably great price. They make their tortillas and chips fresh on the premises (you can even watch them being made!), and they serve you up their fresh chips and salsa as soon as you've been seated. Plus, the Kids' Menu is great. They still keep to the Fresh Mex principles, just with a smaller portion, and some french fries on the side. The atmosphere is fun and totally family oriented. Come to Chevys hungry, and you'll leave happy and totally satisfied with your experience!‎

There is no such things as Fresh Mex, just like Taco Bell is also not Mexican food. If you are in San Diego, there are literally hundreds of Mexican places that are more authentic and much better than a Chevy's ...

My favorite thing about Chevys is their fabulous thin, crispy, hot-out-of-the oven chips. The salsa's pretty good too. And that tasty little sweet corn dollop they put on the side of their plates. Their dishes are pretty good - BIG servings! ...
