The inn is a restored 1920's hotel on a small island in Portland harbor. You can only access it via ferry boats. The rooms are charming. The main floor includes a giant fireplace and a grand old dining hall. No TV sets here. Next door is a golf course.

We have stayed there a few different times and it was delightful. The price is right and the staff is friendly. Bring your bikes and ride around the island.
