I bought my very first acoustic guitar. I LOVE IT! The customer service was very good. I am currently taking guitar lessons with RAFFIK. He works there and is super nice and super friendly. Ask for him, if interested. :)

I needed to have some wires on an input jack fixed on a guitar. I called and they said to come in that day, it could be fixed quickly. Once I drove down there, the dumb manager said they couldn't fix it that day and for me to leave it without the hard case over the weekend. The manager could not explain why I was told to come down that day. I was sure as hell not going to leave a $2500 USA RR-1 Jackson without a case! Then he said that there used to be a music store in Burbank. Well, used to doesn't do me any good. The younger guys working were cool but the manager doesnt care about custermers. He really wanted to ingore the fact I drove down there for nothing! They also dont carry GHS .008 guitar strings, Genz Benz Amps, or anything else I play. I will never go back and will advise people to stay away!

I went to Charles to find a capo for my acoustic guitar. The man who helped me find the exact one I needed was very helpful and was very knowledgeable about guitars in general. Looking around the store, they had a very good selection to choose from if you were in the market for a new instrument. The capo was reasonably priced and I'll definitely return if I need any other minor guitar accessories.

Charles Music has been around since I started playing the violin over 20 years ago. They have one of the largest music stores in the area. They sell sheet music, various musical accessories, and musical instruments. They also have instructors who offer private music lessons on most instruments. They sometimes rent instruments, so call and check what is available if you have a need. Although I use many different music stores, Charles is by far my favorite.

PROS: Great stock of sheet music and supplies
CONS: Sometimes more expensive than smaller shops
