Overcharged
My Power Company shut off my electricity because the meter can burned. We had to call an electrician to make the repair before electric could be restored. We chose Centurion. They replaced the box. This process took approximately 45 minutes. The electrician then called city inspector. City of Friendswood inspected and approved the work. This occurred on a weekday. I expected it to be in the $400. range +/- because the work was considered emergency. Centurion charged us $800.00
Desperate to assure we would have electric that day, I paid the amount. I asked for an itemized invoice to comfort myself with the charge. Didn't receive one. I asked to speak to the boss, they said he was out. Next day I received a call from this business but it was the same gentleman speaking for the boss. Justifying the cost.. he said it was labor, material and the city. I contacted the city to find out they charge $15.00, so that excuse doesn't help with the justification. I called several places to get an estimate and finding them in the ballpark no more than $500. When I call Centurion back to give them another chance to make this fee right. Owner/Boss answered the phone. Him not understanding why I was calling, he gave me a quote of $500. Three hundred dollars above what he charged me!!!!! To use this company, be prepared to pay a cost they may shoot from the hip.
