We transferred our triplets care to Dr Hiramatsu when they were 5 months old more or less. She was recommended by our visiting nurse from Children's Hospital. When we took our youngest sick triplet, a different doctor saw him but he was not treated differently. Their former pediatrician didn't want to do anything with him. When we finally saw Dr Mika she was wonderful. She understands what and which treatment we want for our children. I know that she would rather have us go the normal direction but she doesn't push us. Even after we moved to East Contra Costa, we still travel every 2 years for our kids' health check.

Not all the doctors here are great. One in particular was not very open to my getting a second opinion on my child's recurring ear infections. The delay in getting a second opinion definitely contributed to the speech impediment my child developed from not being able to hear correctly during all those infections. We still use this group and have a different doctor within the practice but I advise other parents to always seek a second opinion on something as crucial as their child's health.
