Great mellow beach bar
Great, mellow, locals beach bar. An older crowd, it's not a scene or the typical PB bar. A grown up bar in the beach. Great bar. Huge beer selection, pool tables, great and friendly staff, & great food. I highly recommend their amazing chinese chicken salad and delicious fish sandwhiches. Great place to visit for lunch or happy hour.
Pros: location, beer selection, service

Breakfast is awesome
It's been about a year since I've been. I know people go here at night, because it's a bar. I've only been here to eat and have a drink during the day. I love their breakfast. I took one of my, let's say, uh uppity friends here against her will for a quick breakfast and made her a convert.

The food is cheap for what you get. The service has in my experience always been good. I drive by it all the time as Cass Street is my main artery into PB and I forget sometimes to go here. I like that people hang out here with their dogs (they're outside). I've never really had a hard time parking either.

Atmosphere is casual but without some of the riff raff you see on Garnet. This is a breath of fresh air.

Cass Street is a great place to go if you're looking for a mellow evening in PB. They have an extensive selection of beer but no hard stuff here! It's a smaller 'dive' bar complete with shuffle board and pool and tasty snacks. Their breakfast is pretty well known...although I don't think it's anything to write home about. But it's a pretty good deal for the prices - ample portions and tasty enough!
Pros: Perfect alternative to the rowdy crowds typically found on Garnet.
Cons: Beer and wine only.

Good spot for bar food and a beer
I hadn't been to Cass St. in a about three months when I went this last Saturday. I've got to say this place is great, I'll have to make sure I stop in more often. Speaking about the off first: They serve a breakfast and a dinner/lunch menu in a relaxed bar setting. To order you just step up to the window and pick from any of the options available on the wall. Pretty much everything I've had has been good, the burgers are also pretty cheap (around 6 bucks) and still delicious. I had the breakfast burrito on my last visit as well, it was huge and delicious. The one downside might be that this place doesn't have a full bar, they only serve beer and wine. But that doesn't mean its still not great the beer selection is good, and they usually have some sort of special available on that. My favorite part about this bar though? The shuffle board, such a great bar game and pretty rare in the PB area!

Brave the crowd. You won't regret it.
It wasn't until recent that I developed a special place in my heart for Cass St., mostly because it wasn't until recent that I started liking beer. But if you're looking for a wine/beer establishment with stellar prices, this is definitely the place to come. They also have some shuffleboard in the back, so if you're drunk enough to handle everyone making up their own set of shuffleboard rules, then it comes highly recommended.

But let's put all that aside. Because I'm sure everyone writes that. One thing you may not know about this place is their affinity for making a damn good pitcher of mimosa. The bf and I came here after hitting up Konos at around 10am about a week ago and decided that a pitcher of mimosa was a better deal than just two glasses (about $15 vs. $5 each). But BE PREPARED. We watched the bartender pour in a few ounces of cranberry juice then almost TWO FULL BOTTLES of champagne, then topped it off with a little squirt of orange juice. We shared the whole thing, and needless to say, I was pretty blitzed.

But since I really can't think of many better ways to start a Saturday morning than drunk off my tooshie, I decided Cass deserved at least 4 stars. Though *almost* 5 if for nothing else because I'm pretty sure I couldn't have made stronger mimosas for cheaper at home.
