Brave the crowd. You won't regret it.
It wasn't until recent that I developed a special place in my heart for Cass St., mostly because it wasn't until recent that I started liking beer. But if you're looking for a wine/beer establishment with stellar prices, this is definitely the place to come. They also have some shuffleboard in the back, so if you're drunk enough to handle everyone making up their own set of shuffleboard rules, then it comes highly recommended.
But let's put all that aside. Because I'm sure everyone writes that. One thing you may not know about this place is their affinity for making a damn good pitcher of mimosa. The bf and I came here after hitting up Konos at around 10am about a week ago and decided that a pitcher of mimosa was a better deal than just two glasses (about $15 vs. $5 each). But BE PREPARED. We watched the bartender pour in a few ounces of cranberry juice then almost TWO FULL BOTTLES of champagne, then topped it off with a little squirt of orange juice. We shared the whole thing, and needless to say, I was pretty blitzed.
But since I really can't think of many better ways to start a Saturday morning than drunk off my tooshie, I decided Cass deserved at least 4 stars. Though *almost* 5 if for nothing else because I'm pretty sure I couldn't have made stronger mimosas for cheaper at home.
