Transmission went out on my 1996 Chrysler Town & Country on vacation. Was towed to Carriage town Chrysler in Delaware Ohio. $2800.00 to rebuild the transmission and we rented a car and proceeded on our vacation and left our van at Carriage town to be fixed. Picked it up one week later on a rainy Sunday morning. They had left the interior lights on and run the battery down and had to get a jump to start it. Grease all over the steering wheel and seats. Car was filthy.Fender was bent out of shape. We spent a very miserable 8 hours driving home with the transmission growling and jerking but finally took 8 hours to make a 4 hour trip. Ended putting the van back in the shop at our local dealer and was told the wrong transmission fluid had been used and burned up the torque converter. Was asked how come they did not just put in a new transmission for that price instead of trying to repair the old one. Service Manager actually laughed at my wife on the phone when she called to complain. If I ever break down in Delaware Ohio again Carriage town Chrysler is the LAST place that will service my vehicle.
Pros : None that I can see.
Cons : Everything about this experience. I will never buy another Chrysler.
