Carlsbad Animal hospital took great care of my little pismo (cat) for all of his kitty shots!! Decent priced, and they held pismo gently and didn't scare him too much!! ...

3 years we've been taking our two dogs to this vet, the care has been sufficient, but charges excessive... very excessive. - Estimates given, then price doubled "but it's for both dogs" $765 for yearly checkup/shots is a bit much. -$300 for a twisted dew claw, that had to be clipped, with a free follow up. "sorry we don't give free follow ups, another $60 please." -One vet was did not even notice that one of my dogs was missing an ear (lost to cancer years ago) until I pointed it out to him. -"that's an allergic reaction to fleas on your dog, try Benedryll" $300. not kidding! Vets take an oath similar to M.D.s that states that the vet must be consciencious, and follow vet medicine ethics. As I see it you can't keep an animal healthy if they they don't visit the doctor, because the owner fears the bill.‎
