Caring, Compassionate-- Couldnt have asked for more!!!
GAH is amazing! I took my rottie in yesterday only to find out the grim news of cancer. Both Dr. Sumakeris and the vet techs were helpful, compassionate and informative. Only to find my beloved rottie pass away this morning. I was beside myself and called to find out what I needed to do. Mitch was so genuine and caring! Dr. Sumakeris then called me to express her sympathy, it really made me feel as though they cared about me and my dog. When I took him in to get cremated, I was hugged by staff and they went above and beyond to make me feel ok and were very sensitive to my needs. I know it will be a long time before I can replace my baby, but I will DEFINITELY go back to Glenwood Animal Hospital when I do!! I highly recommend them for top notch care and some of the best staff I have experienced.

We haven't had any problems, it is actually a nice place!
My fiance and I give Glenwood Animal Hospital rave reviews. Yesterday, we actually picked up our labrador from being boarded for a weekend. Yes, I could see where people would get the perception of long lines. It was near closing time when just got back into town, others had the same plan that we did. Get back into town, pick up the dog, etc... Nowadays, one has to wait in line at the DMV, grocery stores and even the ER!

At Glenwood, they know our animals by name and treat them with respect and kindness. As for the person that found the mysterious lump on their dog, I would have definitely gotten a second or third opinion, perhaps a trip to a specialty vet? I know if I had a suspicious lump on my body, I would go directly to a specialist.

sneaky
My husband took our dog there and they took advantage of him. They talked my husband into doing many more things on the dog than what just needed to be done. When we got the bill we could not believe our eyes. Be careful!

STAY AWAY
I have taken my dog here for a few years after my independent vet moved. The people are nice, for the most part, but everytime you walk in the door expect to wait nearly 30 minutes before being helped even if you are just picking up your animal from boarding. I had to take my dog back 3 times before they completed work on him that was included in a standard grooming.

The final straw was recently I took my dog in because he had a small bump on his hip about the size of a small marble. The Vet looked at him said it was simply a reaction to a bite of some type and nothing to worry about. Now 5 mos. later I took him back in because the bump grew to the size of a golf ball and it just had to be surgically removed. Well come to find out it's a cancerous tumor and now my dog haS to undergo more surgery, chemo, and possibly radiation. Needless to say i have pulled my dog, cats, and other dog from this vet and will never step foot in there again. They are definitely concerned more about quantity than quality.
