The Groomers Cut My Cat
I took my long haired cat to get groomed here, because her regular groomer wouldn't be in for 2 weeks. When I dropped her off, everyone was very nice. I decided to get a "lion cut" so she wouldn't be so hot, since it's August. When I came to pick her up, there were a bunch of girls running around, and it took a really long time for them to bring the cat down. When I got home, she looked pretty cute, but her haircut was a little uneven, and they had cut her nipple!!!
It was bleeding pretty bad, and you could tell she was uncomfortable. I would pay more to have a groomer not cut her nipple, but honestly, other places aren't nearly as expensive.

My "old" vet only had a long haired cat groomer working once every two weeks, but since she specialized in long haired cats, not just bathing and shaving any kind of animal, she did a much better job. I would recommend anyone going to Wellington Animal Hospital in Cary, because Oberlin Animal Hospital groomers don't know what they're doing.

Incompetent staff!
I have been going to Oberlin Animal hospital for 3 years, but last year they got rid of all the competent assistants. Now all they have is little girls who do not know how to handle the animals so I end up paying for sedation. I never had this problem with the other staff. They mess up the appointments, they give me a call telling me that I have an appointment yet when I go there they tell me that I am not scheduled for that they. I take a day off to take my dogs to the vet and they refuse to see me. This is not professional, it's a shame, I am looking for a new vet.

Oberlin Animal Hospital
Oberlin has a state of the art set up with most tests being done at their facility. They are open 24 hours. This could sound like a review for another well equipped animal hospital open when you need help, but there is one big difference. The doctors and staff at Oberlin without exception, treat your animal as a loved member of your family. So often when you are at an animal hospital you are in a time of great anxiety or crisis. To go where there are knowledgeable, skilled, experienced and professional people goes without saying. You will certainly find these at Oberlin Animal Hospital. But what else is so desperately needed to get you through these times? What helps you understand the choices to guide the health of your pet? What gives you hope to get through the rough days to the "tail-wagging" ones? This comes from the heart, attitude and compassion that you receive from everyone at Oberlin. They are the ones who don't look down on you while you ask the same question 5 times, sometimes are curt and cry frequently (at least I have been guilty of these). The staff there makes us feel like our dog is the one they've been waiting to see for days, their favorite! I am sure they make everyone feel this way. Very importantly, I have found that the doctors at Oberlin are there for you when you have the need, not when you make an appointment. When there is a larger health issue, you are not given minimal information and left waiting while procedures are done. At Oberlin, they call, talk, comfort and explain, often doing so on their own time. Their main focus is your pet's health and the love you have for your pet. I could not recommend them more highly.

Watch out for Unexpected Costs
I have a 4 month old puppy and have gone to Oberlin for the last 2 months. Although the staff is nice, I recently took her to be boarded and after three nights came to pick her up and the bill was around $367.00! I knew it would be expensive, but almost $400, are you kidding me? They gave her the last distempter booster, which was expected, but also did a stool check (not expected, no one ever told me my dog would require a stool check, she had already had one) and found something which required medication- Didn't even call me to explain what they found- and charged me for the medication without an explanation- I had to wait until the following Monday after having to request a call from the vet for them to explain what was wrong with my dog. The vet did call and explained everything, but it was still disappointing that I did not know about this when it happened, I couldn't believe they did not call me as soon as something was found. I love my dog and would always do everything to protect her health, so if I had known it was going to cost this much I would have not gotten her as much play time while being boarded- Around $367 later they offer nothing, tell me they will update my charts, no need for that, I will never go back.
