This is one of the most inexpensive places that we found and yet it was just as beautiful as any other place we looked at. We were able to get in at 9:30 in the morning the day of the wedding to get ready in a separate room from our reception and ceremony and they did not charge us. They had set up mirrors, chairs and tables for makeup and food just to accommodate our needs without us even asking. We were also able to get in the day before to do set up of the reception room which no other place we've found would let us do.

We chose a mexican buffet and the food was great. We had an open bar and they allowed us to bring in our own alcohol to save us money.

Overall the combination of affordability, beauty and service made our wedding day flawless and we could not be happier with our decision to have our wedding there.

Staff was very friendly and the coordinator Rosalinda was very helpful. She made sure everything went smoothly which i was able to enjoy my day. And i believe prices are reasonable, they are not as expensive as The Sterling or the Sheraton. And the ballrooms are gorgeous. I used the Silver ballroom that day and it was very romantic. Parking is a little problem but what do you expect this is downtown! Well overall I would recomend this place to anyone. Thanx Capitol Plaza Ballrooms!!

Very Nice BAllrooms,but like the rest of the viewer said "they will empty it out your pocketbook" and beilieve me they will. Not to mention they do not keep you updated you have to hound them down to get informed on anything. oH THIS IS A MUST KNOW! No parking you have to actually pay a couple hundred to reserve parking for your guest and they dont help you find or guarrant you'll get one..so what if you have a 250 guest plus..your out of luck...HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE TO DEAL WITH!

I had my wedding there but i brought in my own food in which they allowed in only one room, i agree with the other user our bill started off okay which we didnt mind to a couple months down the road to nearly trippled. W e paid so much we could of had our food catered there instead of bringing in our own food. At that time we were not aware that it would be that much almost $8,000. We also found out the day of our wedding the staff that we had to pay for in which we really did not need them but we were required to have them ...cost $2O SOMETHING an hr for each of them...keep in mind we brought in our own food we did not need them to serve us because it was buffet style, they made us clean up the kitchen and bring in our own trash bags. What were they there for then.. The lady there that coordinates everything is money hungry i do not think she owns the place but she changes price that our right in front of your face. I'm sorry its not worth to rent form them unless you are sophicately rich were it does not matter where your money goes!
