Carpenters has been around for a very long time, I love their store, nice people. If they hired a lot of people like WalMart then you wouldn't get their good prices. Not many shops like their's and we should appreciate them, if you don't like concret floors or whatever , then simply don't go there, and complain. But there are some that will complain even if you served them on a gold platter, Wish there were more companies like Carpenters Dish Barn, , Thank You Mr and Mrs Carpenter.

. As was stated in another review, the Dish Barn has almost a flea market feel. This is a family owned business. The people are friendly, willing to help if you ask. Just remember, it is a large place, and unlike a department store, does not have as many people to be at your beck and call.
They have a large selection of kitchen wares, and children's items, Not to mention a lovely garden shop. Wedding supplies and rentals are available at reasonable prices. A good place for bargains.

Carpenter's is just what it looks like fromt he outside, a bunch of junk thrown together under a roof and a sale sign. Inside it's basically a cement floored non insulated warehouse type of building. Many of the itmes have no packaging or pricing and may be slightly damaged, and give the feeling of being in a flea market, while on the other side there are items kept in a locked display case and finding anyone to help you with something is next to impossible. I'm unsure if Nicholasville's got a smoking ban or not so be warned the two times I have been inside it's been actively smoked in.

I love to go here because I always find what I need plus more. They carry items for your home such as stuff for making flower arrangements , figurines, and more. They have stuff to decorate your outside as well with concrete flower pots and birdbaths. You can also buy your landscaping items here. It carries just about anything you need and they are very affordable so you should stop in and check their selection of items out.
