This is not Doggie Day"CARE"
I left my pooch there and ended up paying $300 at the vet after he picked up a bug there. Fine, could happen to anyone right, wrong. He came home with diahrea caked to his rear-end (as I saw on several other dogs when I picked up). This should have been cleaned off immediately (and cleaned from the ground). He most assuredly got the bug from sniffing other dogs dirty rear ends. My vet was furious and wanted the name of the boarding facility so he could tell his clients to stay away. When I told Camp Diego, they made no offer to pay for the Vet bills, and simply said, "Really?"

SHAME ON CAMP DIEGO!!!! I put in 4 months of the best I had to give these people and because I dont get along with their new manager Audrey I was FIRED!!! No warning, no chance to find another job, no thank you for a job well done all those months just CUT! you're out of here. Pat (the owner) just called me up on the phone to tell me. Not in person, on the phone. I have never been treated so badly! Why didnt she give me the chance to work Wednesdays or weekends when Audrey isnt working? If Id known today was my last day I would have said good-bye to the dogs but I didnt even get THAT chance! :(

I just found out that Tom the owner is telliing people I got a new job - exCUSE me???? Uh no actually, I was UNfairly fired!!!! Pat listened to ONLY Audreys side before making her decision, no chance to defend myself, no chance to work out an alternate schedule, no chance to find work so now I have to figure out how to pay Sept rent NO THANKS TO PAT TOM AND AUDREY AT CAMP DIEGO!!!!!

My very active boxer Lucy got into a little trouble and ate 180 arthritis pills from my older dog. we loved her but were terrified to leave her alone after that. Dave and the staff at Camp Diego were the best part time parents ever! Lucy finished growing up 3-4 half days a week and is a very social pet because of it. Lucy rarely need's camp Diego any more but her new little brother "Spike" is loving his time at Camp Diego. We recommend Camp Diego highly!
Pros: Peace of mind for dog lovers. this is no kennel. Frolicking happy dogs is what it is about.

I have No Complaints
I decided to write this for everyone who needs to find someone to watch their precious children while they are away. I was very nervous at first due to I have never had to leave my puppy with anyone before. When I say puppy I mean an 11 month Boxer/Shepard mix, 80LBS of wreckless fun. I had asked friends to come and stay at my place to watch him, but everyone I know knows that he is quite the handful and really didn't want to help me out. (CRAPPY! I know) So I was refered to Camp Diego by some friends who often foster dogs, and always leave their dogs in Camp Diego's hands. I brought my dog by a few days earlier then when i was to drop him off to fill in the paperwork, and the employees there were nice enough to show me around and to let Dexter sniff around and play for a little bit as well. He seemed to be excited about this so some of my nerves subsided. But still I have never left Dexter before, so my stomach was still in knots. The Employees allowed me to drop him off on a Sunday morning and I saw that they are staffed for the day even though they are closed and all the dogs in the yards having a great time. Dex was there for 3 nights and 4 days. He came home exhausted, and ready to sleep standing up, I kid you not. I feel very comfortable leaving him in Camp Diego's hands again if there should be another chance for this full time bartender and part time student to ever take a vacation again. Thank You Camp Diego, you made my life a little bit easier for those few days
