Lazy vet by Courtney T. at InsiderPages
Dr. Cameron's is not a place I would recommend taking your sick pet. Our 1 year old dog was recently taken their, because he was sick. Dr. Cameron looked at him and said it was stress (which is only a problem in old dogs.) We told him the problems and he ignored it, as if we were stupid. He wouldn't even take a blood test when we asked about it. He told not to let him eat anything and gave us some antibiotics. He said to call the next day if anything else happened. We did. He didn't call back.
We took him to another veterinary clinic. Immediately they looked at him and took many tests. He had kidney problems. They said if we had waited two more days, he would have died. He was extremely dehydrated (Dr. Cameron assured us he wasn't when he looked at him.) It's decided he will have surgery to try and see what's wrong. If Dr. Cameron would've done a blood test, he would've immediately seen that something was wrong.
When Dr. Cameron finally called back, he chewed us out with animal 'knowledge'. He said for 1, they needed to let him urinate to see if it really was the kidney's. Urinate what? We already told him he hadn't eaten or drunk anything in at least 2 days!
Our dog almost died because of Dr. Cameron's laziness. He tries to support simple diagnosis with questionable 'facts'. Then after making you feel dumb and prescribing some antibiotic to your sick pet, he charges an arm and a leg. The prices are too high for such horrible service. I do not ever recommend going to Dr.Cameron's unless you hate your pet. He only wants money for a job he hardly tries at.
