Pleasant Experience
I needed a puzzle made of my logo for the nerve disease I'm raising awareness for. I got a put-together, large piece puzzle in good quality color. The only drawback was that they had to send it out [about a week's time] and don't do the work onsite. The owner and his staff were very accommodating, tho.

Customer service.
I have been to Cam for various odd photo jobs and found the expertise and help great. Yesterday I went for a new type of camera and found that they beat the best internet price I could find, helped me find all around better deals than I'd imagined, and patiently took me through countless steps to learn the operations. There was no pressure on me at all. An all around great experience again.

Excellent service!
I just bought a new Canon SLR at Cam Photo. I was amazed at the amount of time they spent with me, helping me to set it up and explaining all of the ins and outs. I also checked around for prices and found them to be very competitive in addition to being local and saving me gas from having to drive elsewhere. Also, when I ran into a problem with a memory disk I purchased there, they exchanged it without any problems. I you are like me and don't always want to buy online and want to purchase at a store where they will take care of you, answer your questions and give you good old fashioned service, then give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Great place for advice unfortunately the prices are too high
Cam Photo s a great place if you're looking for advice on what to get and how to do it. Unfortunately, as the title states, the prices are too high. I don't mind paying a little extra for the accessories, but when it comes to the prices of the lens, the difference is too much for my wallet.

If only the prices weren't so much higher, that's with the tax included. Example. B&H has the 100mm Macro for $455 + about $7 shipping compared to Cam's $465. The problem? After taxes it comes out to be around $505. $50 difference. That's $50 for gas, food, or other accessories. Especially with the economy the way it is. If the difference was $20, maybe. I don't mind supporting the local businesses.

The average rating is for the fact that the people there are great. The ones I've met so far and the advice given is very helpful. I understand that they are a "mom and pop" store but the again, the price difference is too much for my current income.

Prices Way Out of Line!
Recently I purchased a refurbished Canon EF 28-90mm lens from CAM Photo for $129.99 and found the same lens at Adorama on line for $74.95. Bel Air Camera sells the lens new for $110.00. I do understand the difference from buying online and from brick and mortar. However, a markup of 73% over Adorama's listed price and 18% above buying the item brand new is unreasonable. Shop elsewhere!
