While visiting Key west, I had the great opportunity to see Dr. Woodby at his best. How he comforted a man with his dying Doberman, was very compassionate and emotional. He was not only a great communicator, but acted as if he was a pastor, and psychologist. His humor with many pet owners wins them over as well. His country accent and old country sayings, made so many pet owners feel he had their pets best interest in mind and not his back pocket top priority. The best bedside manor with every pet owner wins everybody over to Steve's side. I will highly recommend Dr. Steve Woodby to anyone going to south Florida or the Keys with their pets. Dr.Woodby is sincere and professional. He knows what he is doing and his staff is down to earth. He appreciates the emotional attachment we humans have with our pets and is humble and appreciative of my patronage. What a gentleman.

Dr Steve Woodby is the best vet I have worked with. He called to discuss my dog's illness, asking if he could have my permission to use a blood sample taken the day before to run additional tests (rather than have me bring the dog back). He discussed the logic behind his differential diagnostics. He tells you exactly what he is thinking and why. My dog loves him. If we say his name, she goes to the door excitedly waiting to get to see him.

When we were in need the Doctors and staff at Calusa Crossing were there to help. I can whole heartily say they saved our dogs life. Our 10 year old golden got into some poison or other chemical and was clearly in distress. Without their help he would surely have died. I also have to say they came in over $300 under the original estimate. There are best! Thank you all!

I have lived in Miami all my life and had dogs for the same amount of time. The ONLY vet I have found in this town that is sincerely CARING, COMPASSIONATE towards pets AND OWNERS is Dr. John Steven Woodby and Calusa Crossing Animal Hospital. I cannot say enough good things about him. Originally from Tennessee, we need triple the number of doctors, vets, humans like him. He cared for my dog, he did not suggest un-necessary surgeries or stays or shots, etc; What a decent person. Miami and society in general needs more Dr. Woodbys.
