Overcharged and Dishonest
I wanted to put into writing a formal complaint regarding a service representative named Terry Faber who had an appointment at my home in June 2009. I made the appointment with Terry over the phone. When I described the problem, he told me it would cost $140 to replace my lock. When he got here, he decided I didn't need a new lock, that he didn't have a lock that would fit my door, and that if he had, it would be a monumental task to take the door apart and replace the lock. So, as an alternative, his assistant oiled the latch mechanism, then repositioned the receptor using two screws. The job took ten minutes. Terry handed me the bill for $140 even before the job was completed and told me 'not to worry, it would be okay'. I'm not sure what he thought would be 'okay', but I was not okay.
