Our Favorite Restaurant In Town
My husband and I enjoy going here often. Even though my husband is not a patient man, he is willing to wait in line on the weekends (the mall is very busy on weekends) to eat here. The lobby is usually not big enough to accommodate all the customers waiting on the weekends and waiting outside can be very chilly business (Monterey stays cool/cold year round). The food is fresh and imaginative. I am usually too timid to take them up on their "experimental" offer: you can try anything on the menu and if you don't like it, they will happily replace it for free with something you are more familiar with. The crust on the pizzas have never been hard nor doughy - but just right. Their pot stickers aren't that good and the Mediterranean salad can be very acidic (but I think that was mostly the dressing and tomatoes). But other than that I haven't encountered anything on their menu that I didn't enjoy. I've never been served anything that wasn't fresh or hot. ...
