The Superette has been a great place for lunch and the occasional nic nacs over time. It's in a prime location for students and residents in the area to buy small goods at prices that are a little high. Their lunch is still a delicious deal which consists of Hamburgers, Roast beef, hot sausage, shrimp and oyster poboys. So stop in for some good lunch!

This is a nasty, dark store with ancient canned goods and rotting produce. I would only recommend shopping here in an absolute emergency, and even then, they might not have what you need. It's not any cheaper than convenience stores, of which there are plenty in the area. Tulane students might be tempted to go here since it's in walking distance, but don't; take the streetcar to Walgreen's if you must, or walk a bit farther to the Circle K.
