Awesome view
If you have guests in town, this is actually a nice place to take them if you sit outside. They don't take reservations for the patio area during happy hour so you may have a wait ahead of you if this is what you're looking for. You're right on the water with a nice view of the boats and birds. The tables are kind of close together which bugs my husband. It's just not the same if you sit inside. It will be a good meal, but just pricey for what you're getting. The food is reliably good but it's not great or unusual.

My favorite things are the ahi stack and the lobster mac and cheese that comes in a nifty All Clad stainless au gratin pan.

I guess what I'm saying is that we don't go out of our way to go here, since we have so many options in La Jolla.

Ahi Tuna Stack and an Awesome View
This is a great spot for a quick drink or a light meal anytime with one of the best view's of San Diego Bay. It's right on the water and is part of Island Prime Restaurant from the Cohn Group. This might be the only place in town I'm willing to pay the "waterfront" premium. Most places in San Diego on the water are mediocre at best. The Cohn's and Deborah Scott have had a winner here for a while and I don't expect anything to change soon. If you're visiting San Diego, Hop off that plane, and make your way over here for Happy Hour and enjoy the sunset, the boats, the bridge and the bay. Don't forget the Ahi Tuna Stack - It's the quintessential San Diego Appetizer

C-Level – Feel Like Getting Away for Lunch
Yes, we all need a break within our work day and what better way to do it by having lunch at C-Level. The restaurant has a nice open feel with a great view of the marina and downtown San Diego. The smell of the sea breeze and the sound of the sea birds make you feel like you are on vacation, even if for a short period of time.
I met a friend there for lunch and I ordered the Portobello on a Bun. It was made Portobello mushroom, red peppers, basil, and feta cheese. It came with sweet potato french fries and barbeque sauce. I ate only half of it because it was a large meal. Of course, I was able to relive the experience the next day with the other half.
My friend ordered the Layered Tuna that came with taro chips. He enjoyed his meal as well and it was from the “healthier” side of the menu.
The hostesses were very pleasant and welcomed us with their warm smiles. Our waitress was just as pleasant and very helpful.
I’ve been to this venue many times and I plan to continue to enjoy it’s wonderful food, views, service and ambiance.

Spectacular Happy Hour Fare
We met another couple for happy hour during their layover at Lindbergh field... wanted to get a bite of something before their connecting flight. We sat on the patio with a lovely view of the bay and downtown, under the cozy patio heaters. Like everything else from Deborah Scott, the happy hour selections were delicious, creative, and presented well. And the portions are generous for the $5 price. We tried the calamari and the nut crusted brie (so good we promptly ordered another one), and a caesar salad. I got the herbed french fries from the gluten-free menu (they have one - Yay!), which came in a fun upright paper cone. And the service was extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommend this place.
