Best Dance Studio in the Area by lauren v. at InsiderPages
i have been attending BSB since i was 3 years old. The teaching is wonderful and i learn something new every class. Since i have been at this prestigious studio, i have made many friends that i know will last a lifetime. The children and baby program is also great. The kids learn a lot about the basic steps of ballet that will help them in the future. I would recommend Burbank School of the Ballet to anyone interested in dancing!

Excellent dance program!
One of the best dance schools in the Los Angeles area. Pretty unassuming from appearances -- it looks like a little community dance school. But their teachers are some of the finest around and their students truly excel -- They're amazing. The school was selected as Outstanding School by YAGP in '07 - an incredible honor considering they were competing against schools from all over Southern California, and surrounding states.

Loving atmosphere, the students become "family" and they get top of the line dance instruction!

Long Timer by Anne D. at InsiderPages
I'm 48 years old, and I've been taking dance classes at the Burbank School of The Ballet for the past seven years. I've even performed in the annual recitals because it's given me a creative outlet. This school is comfortable, and a lot of students have become friends. To be honest, I find ballet to be somewhat grueling, but I feel so flexible and aligned when class is over... I keep coming back.

Top of the Line Program by Jaimi Z. at InsiderPages
My daughter has been attending Burbank School of the Ballet for 3 yrs and she loves it. Yes, the program is stricter than most. Yet children are encouraged in a loving environment to achieve their personal best. With each achievement, students gain an incredible sense of accomplishment. The end of the year recital is a real treat -- the main performance is near professional and features the students' remarkable progress. It is worth every minute spent at the studio and every penny spent on their costumes, etc. It is a place that creates a sense of accomplishment and childhood memories that will last a lifetime.

PROS: Top of the line program that gives children a true sense of accomplishment.
CONS: intense, but worth it!

Very strict ballet by Jen W. at InsiderPages
This is a very traditional and strict ballet school. There is a very serious air to each lesson and I really wondered how much fun my daughter was having. It really is the place to go if your child wants to entertain a serious ballet career. I don't think it is the right place to send your child if you are just looking for a little after school recreation. There is a high budget recital at the end of each school year, complete with several very expensive costumes that the parents pay for but don't get to keep. This very intense program won't be right for everyone.

PROS: Very professional ballet
CONS: Do kids really need a program this intense?
