People's health care should be so lucky!!!
My experience with BPH and staff since the early 1990's when Dr. Runyon was still there have always been 5 STAR. And since Dr's Kumar and Fluegge have benn on board, my observation is still 5 STAR. I'd have to say, of the vet's I've been to, they're very conscientious in their approach just as Dr. Runyon was all those years when he owned the practice..
I have three cats that would tell you the same if they could......

My dog is happy here by Caroline M. at InsiderPages
My dog required a dental visit. I researched many vets and picked Dr. Kumar from Burbank Pet Hospital. The team there was kind and efficient. My dog came back to me healthy and happy. Anesthesia is always risky. He did not get sick and seemed like nothing had happened.

Saved my cat's life!
I went to this vet because it's closest to my house but I stay because they're wonderful. My cat has asthma and when we moved him from Michigan to California it really started acting up. I took him to Dr. Fluegge and she did everything that could be done for him (including oxygen treatments & prescribing an inhaler) but when things went wrong late one night they helped me get him to a 24hour clinic where he had to stay in an oxygen cage all night. First thing in the morning they had a cage ready for him at Burbank and I transported him there. They take such good care of him. Now whenever he starts having asthma attacks I just have to bring him in for a cortisone shot. They always take care of him the same day I call.
Both of our cats had some tangles with an opossum in our back yard and their bites/scratches got encysted. Burbank came to the rescue again. We've never had to wait even one day for an appointment.
They're super friendly and very understanding. Fletcher (asthma cat) loves it there.
I highly recommend Burbank pet hospital for all your pets.

Great Veterinary Care by Michelle C. at InsiderPages
We have been going to Burbank Pet hospital for years with our various dogs and cats. We dealt originally with Dr. Runyon and now with Dr. Fluegge and Dr. Kumar. They are knowledgeable, you can tell they really love animals, and are patient with questions. The front staff is very friendly as well.I recently had to put my cat to sleep after a sudden fast progressing illness. Dr. Fluegge and the staff were so sensitive to me, giving him a shot to have him fall asleep in my arms before he was euthanized. It was a very sad experience, but they were so understanding and nice, I really appreciate it.They even have boarding for cats and dogs while you go on vacation. We don't live in the neighborhood, but make the drive because we trust them so much.

Great care!
My dog loves going here! He plays real rough and is therefore extremely injury prone, and has probably come to the realization that vet visit = making him feel better. He loves going to Burbank and knows his ritual quite well too, checking his weight, running to the examination room, waiting for a treat before his temperature's taken etc etc. The kind of care and love he gets at Burbank is really good, and he seems to enjoy it, and wasn't at all unhappy when he had to be hospitalized one night or a couple of times that he had to spend a good part of the day there. The only problem is that if you don't get them on the phone before 5pm, it's impossible to contact them until the next morning, so you've got to take your pet to some other place for emergencies, and my dog doesn't exactly like going to the other places, so I typically have to take him to ER at a different location, make sure he can get by till the morning without any trouble and then bring him in to Dr Kumar first thing in the morning. They are also very accomodating, I had a serious problem and just managed to get to them on the phone a couple of minutes before they closed, and it was going to be a one hour drive for me to get there, Dr Kumar and the vet techs reassured me that they'd be there waiting for us, and they stayed back over two hours to take care of my dog. It's the best my dog has received, and both of us think so!
