Best stringed-instrument service in the Valley
I was looking for a good guitar tech and tried Buchanan Music for the first time a few months ago. Rush Harley has worked on several of my guitars (Taylor Custom GS, Martin OM-28V, Fender CD-140 and American Strat, Gibson ES-335) in that time, and he's done outstanding work on every one of them. He's pretty quick, too. Another luthier had my Martin for two months and when I got it back it still didn't sound right - but Rush had it singing in 2 or 3 days. Buchanan Music is a long drive away for me - 40 minutes one way, even with no traffic - but well worth the effort. It's impossible to overstate the case - Buchanan Music's stringed instrument service is second to none.

My Family Loves Buchanan Music
We've been going to Buchanan Music for years. My kids have been going in there for years and always have a great time. They have just recently started lessons and love their teachers. Five stars really doesn't do this place justice. They easily earn six stars for the way they treat me and my kids.

Service, Knowledge and Value
In a time when more businesses are cutting costs in order to compete on price alone, I find truest value in a locally owned business that maintains a knowledgeable staff with quality products or services. Buchanan is exactly that kind of business and they manage to do it at competitive rates. Add to it that the staff is friendly and they have earned my business every time. I play harmonica and Buchanan maintains a good variety for anyone from beginner level to professional series. Even when I've gone to them for specialty items, their turnaround time is excellent. NOTE- The Price Range selector on this site is not appropriate for a business of this type, since prices could run the entire range. My experience is that this company's prices are competitive with even the big-box, small-expertise stores.

Buchanan rocks
Rich set up my LTD perfect, the action is amazing and the harmonics sound 100x better than they did before the setup. The price was great, and he got he job done quick. He even found that my volume knob was messed up (it was turning too far) he fixed that and replaced the pots for that knob without charging me an extra dime!

Whoa!
Buchanan Music has been around forever but these last few months have been quite impressive. They've painted, remodeled, and reorganized their store. And they're still going! The staff there are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. You can really tell that they enjoy their work!
I never knew they had lessons. I always thought that they specialized in repairs but you should see the students come and go during the afternoon. I'm going to be frequenting this place a whole lot more just to see what they are going to do next!
