I was there on the night of 7/25 and placed my Canon Powershot a590 camera on the bar and havent seen it since. If anyone has seen this camera please get in contact with me!!!!!!! I am offering a reward $$$$$

I've been to many bars in my day. I was reluctant to go hang out in Portland cuz I just didn't want to deal with the meatheads that are there.With that said Bubba's was the BEST bar experience I've ever had. You've got old folks, young folks, gay folks, and NO douche bags!! Everyone just dancing and having LOTS of fun! I live in 1.5 hours away and am recruiting friends to come down. Not once did I feel like I was going to have to knuckles with someone cuz they were trying to cop a feel on my date. We danced and danced with others.It says something when the dance floor is PACKED and the bar and pool table are empty. These folks just want to have a good time!!

I am suprised as hell at having read the last two comments on Bubba's. I go there, my friends go there.. I see old, young, strait, otherwise, you want it.. it's there. That's part of the fun, nobody pretentious... no meat market feeling. Just silly fun people.

The decor.. well it speaks for itself. It's filled with antiques, all kinds, from head to toe. Old collectibles such as lunchboxes... antique furniture.. gaudy seasonal decorations.. Bubba's has it all. Then to top it off, walk back through time into the disco era where you'll find the coolest light up disco style dance floor in town.

The music ranges from 80's retro, to west african / jazz groups. Always interesting, alwasy fun. I have never seen a fight, whereas most times I'm out in the old port at 1 am getting pizza.. well.. suffice it to say... somebody's always getting the crap knocked outta them.

So... I think... you should check it out. It's too unique, weird, and fun not to. Dress regular, fancy, silly.. and have fun!

I do not like this place not lighted well and alot of drunks are here . I do not like trouble there seems to be here on weekends. Alot of older people come here.

If you are comfortable in a rough environment then you will like this bar. They do make good drinks and they bartender is personable, but the crowd that attends this spot is very rowdy and often violent.

PROS: good drinks
CONS: too rough for most people
