The man has no grasp of his employees' private lives, or what is fair to expect of people who work for him. Brown has knowingly sent his staffers on round-trip errands in bad traffic knowing full well an accident has slowed major thoroughfares to a crawl, undertaken projects entirely too far away from the mainstream of conventional Charleston commuting and has no concept of the 40-hour work week (i.e. Mon-Fri 07:30-16:00) running projects on Sundays, knowing that some of his employees are deeply religious, devoted church members who have liturgical duties. Completely incapable of setting a planned itinerary, Brown instead hatches errands and projects at the 11th hour rather than to lay it all out on the table at the start of the day's business.

He seems completely incapable of conceptualizing that his employees have family and community obligations yet impresses his construction/property maintenance employees into assisting with his leisure activities such as scattering deer-corn a day in advance of his hunting trips, or getting ice and beverages for his sons' birthday parties. He has over-worked his employees personal vehicles to the degree that they ended up "upside down" needing repairs costing more than the total blue-book value of same. He hems and haws over replacing lost or damaged cellphones and makes himself unavailable when an employee needs to discuss monetary matters and has insisted that employees tear out or undo hard-won project completions and once insisted that a large parcel of furnishings be removed from a storage area after the men worked very long and hard to move them from a vacated residence.
