Though I love this place for breakfast I actually prefer their light lunches, just a soup and half a sandwich leaves you very satisfied. The food is very tasty and the service is great with servers constantly checking up on you.

Because its so close to Petco Park, this place can get tricky when there's a game. But I've been there on non-game Saturdays and get seated almost immediately. Great prices too.

If breakfast is the most important meal of the day, this is the best place to have it. The Broken Yolk Cafe has the best homemade waffles I've ever had. I have never had a bad meal or bad service there. The menu has a large selection of breakfast and lunch items, and the food is excellent. The Quality is consistent. You may have to wait for a table, but it is well worth the wait. Once you're seated, you'll be eating very shortly. I was also impressed with the wait staff because everyone pitches in. Several people always refill my coffee, check to see if I am enjoying my meal, and even clear plates. It may be a little confusing determining who your server is, but thats ok, you'll never have to ask for your server because all of the staff does their best to make sure your experience is good. The wait may be longer on weekends, especially if there is an event at Petco Park. I would definitely recommend this place, especially if your entertaining guest from out of town.

This place is always packed on the weekend but usually moves pretty quick. Their price & food are about average. Their upstairs patio is fun.
