My first mistake, buying a used jeep. , the place was certainly not like Carmax, where I should have gone. ..
2 weeks after we bought the car ,we put in new alternater. and 4 "NEW" tires. I was assured that the tires were new. Well, I suppose I didn't look as careful as I should have. Not new!
The automatic window on passenger's side broke within 3 months... After 6 months, there was leaking steering wheel fluid ,and the shocks were ..shot!. The problems with the vehicle seemed endless .
The used car salesman begged me to buy the car. We just could not agree on a price, he pledded, he would only make $100 bucks , he desperately needed the sale . well I liked the jeeps appearance, leather seats and an ok interior. It had 58,000 miles.. I guess I should have known .When I went went to the repair shop at Broadway to speak with their mechanic--. I asked for him to evaluate the used car. I saw the salesman give the mechanice THAT look, like "say the right thing, or else". .. but I was still a sap- to top it all off, I bought an expensive $$ extended warrenty .... and was told that if I never used it in those 3 years....that I could get all of it refunded! ~(II actually have that in writing). I finally went to use the warranty (after many out of pocket expenses)....When I am told that this the company's extended warranty was NOT backed by Ford as I was lead to believe. And I learned that the place was In Bankruptcy. ..and Broadway Ford has the Attitude -"TOO BAD, we got ours"! , ~so now here I am , a car that needs repairs and no warranty. And who is going to help me out of this? It is hurtful on many levels. These people don't care about their customers, only their bank account.
Well good grief, live and learn BIG TIME. I am very UNHAPPY~~So all buyers Beware .
