On February 20th 2010, my Mom and I drove from Raleigh to Greensboro to shop for dresses at Bridal Mart. We get to the store and it is very, very busy. I didn't know where to start and there was no one to greet us, so I went up to the register area and asked where we were supposed to start. The woman found someone to help us and we were on our way. I didn't catch any names, so I can't give anyone their due but this is how it went from there. The woman who helped us asked me if I had any idea dresses. I showed her my pictures and she went off to find some dresses like the ones I had picked. I tried on probably 30 dresses while I was there and the woman who was working with us was nothing but pleasant the whole time. Honestly, I cannot say enough about the staff that I had one-on-one contact with in the dressing room. In the end, I spent much time between two dresses. I bought my wedding dress and 4 bridesmaids dresses from Bridal Mart without difficulty. Betsy helped me pick out my dress and was absolutely wonderful! However, some of the staff who answer the phone are downright RUDE and not personable at all! They can be very difficult to work with. Also, if you have any kids you're planning to bring with you, leave them at home! The staff wouldn't even let my sister who was holding her 6 month old baby step beyond the lobby area to look at dresses. They're very non-tolerant of even quiet children. And yes, it's true about the dressing rooms. There are no curtains separating one girl from another, just a 2 foot section of wall that comes out on either side of your "stall". All in all, I would still go here again for a wedding dress because of the huge selection. In their defense, they DO have some sweet ladies who are really good at helping you find what kind of dress you want and are very patient. Just steer clear of the ...

I needed to try on a dress to wear as a bridesmaid. I called and asked if they had the dress in stock and was told they did. I drove 2 hours to go try it on and was told that they did NOT have it. The woman I spoke with was rude and unapologetic. I asked if they had a similar style from the same designer and she brought me a dirty, beat up dress and pointed me toward the dressing room. The dressing area is DISGUSTING - a huge open room with no curtains, zero privacy, and no mirrors. Also, the whole store was very dirty and smelled like my grandmother's attic. What would a dress from this place smell like? What a joke of a business - I would rather spend twice as much, and drive twice as far, than to be treated with this attitude and herded into a 'dressing room' like a bunch of cattle. If I could rate them zero stars, I would. Don't waste your time.‎

If you are on a budget give this place a try. They have over 3500 dresses and you can buy off the rack. I didn't expect to get the over the top service you get at some bridal salons (with over the top prices) but the sales ladies were really great. They let me look through the dresses and pick out what I liked (they let me break the rules and take more than 3 dresses), they suggested other dresses I might like (how many people have a working knowledge of 3500 dresses?) After reading reviews I didn't expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Give this place a chance and be realistic, buying a wedding dress is not like buying a dress off the rack at a department store.‎

When I went bridal mart, i had a pretty good experience. There was a wide selection an variety of dresses and the prices on most of them were pretty good. Word of caution, if you're looking for the private attention and experience of a boutique, this place is not for you. Nonetheless, the lack of personal attention was not my concern. My greatest concern is that I purchased my dress on July 7th. I was told it would arrive on October 5th and that someone would call me. I called on Oct. 9th and was told my dress had no arrived. No big deal for it to be 4 days late. The lady said she would call the next Monday. The next Wednesday after receiving no call. I called back again, the lady put me on hold "went in the back" to look for my dress told me it wasn't there and said she would call be the next Monday. At this point I'm slightly perturbed. Today is October 28th, 23 days after my gown should have arrived. I called there today and was told that the dress shipped on this past Monday and will arrive next Monday. I explained to the associate what had occurred and that everyone seemed very apathetic about my dress being a month late. She "assured" me that people were very concerned and that their dress order person called the gown company and the company was very apologetic. Despite their "concern" no one has called me in almost a month and had I not called them I doubt I would have received any updates from them as of yet. My wedding isn't until next June so it is honestly not a big deal for my dress to be late, but if you give someone a deadline, you should keep it and if something happens where you can't keep it, you should definitely keep in contact with that person. So, if your wedding is 5 months away or less, I don't recommend buying a dress from them unless you're going to get it right off the rack and take it home with you then and there. I pointed out to the lady that my dress will likely need alterations which can also take 2-3 months and her reply was that they do alt. Why would I want the same people who were apathetic about my dress being a month late to alter it too?
