The service was very good. I had a digital mammogram and ultrasound. The radiologist's charged $265, but the hospital charged a whopping $1,367.00!! I have Blue Cross and they paid most of it, but I'm still left paying around $400 for the service. That's ridiculous for a routine checkup. I'll fight the charge.

The only place to go for a mammogram, and worth driving there! They still use CAD technology to read the mammogram. This is supposed to pick up 80% of problems missed by regular mammograms. It marks the mammogram clearly noting any differences from two years before (bring your films if you are new there), alerting the radiologist where to watch out. The newer digital mammogram facilities allow twice as many mammograms per day which means more income for the facility. Long Beach Memorial puts the woman first and takes more time to be sure we stay well! The techs are so well trained that there are rarely any re-takes as well. You can't say that about most other facilities. This is the ONLY place to go! I give them a 10!
