My family just ate at the Spa Brauhaus to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was fantastic! Each German specialty comes with a turrene of soup, warm bread with butter, a salad, potato, and vegetable. Everything exceeded our expectations. We also ordered an appetizer of potato pancakes which were delicious. The menu included something for everyone from specialties, to seafood, to comfort food. We liked the fact that there was a menu for children as well. To finish up, we ordered some homemade apple strudel and homemade black forest cake. The cake was great! On our way out, we had a very nice conversation with the owner. The experience at the Spa Brauhaus was a good one and we will be recommending it to all of our friends. If I could change one thing, I would move it closer to Albany. (Oh, and by the way, I highly recommend the Jaeger Schnitzel!)‎

We were apprehensive about going to the Brahaus after reading the recent reviews. I have been a long time customer, and fondly remembered childhood meals at the restaurant, but I was worried that the quality had dropped. This was not so. We had a wonderful meal- the soup was great as I remembered it, the dinners were perfectly cooked to order (spaetzle was excellent), and the bread was fresh out of the oven. I was relieved that the quality was still excellent. I wholeheartedly recommend the Spa Brahaus for friendly service and a tasty, filling German dinner.‎

We had to wait 1.5 hours to finally get our entree and upon arrival the food was poor and certainly NOT worth the price. The German music was too loud and kept repeating. There was only one waitress waiting on 6 tables who was very slow and looked mystified when we complained about the long wait. The refills on the sodas are NOT free and they DON'T take American Express. I really don't know what all they hype is for this, but I would never go back.‎

The service here was some of the slowest service I've ever had. The food was almost inedible, I ate one bite and had to send it back. They still charged me full price even though I couldn't eat it. After 2 hours of horrible service, I spent $24 dollars and only ate bread.‎

The is a wonderful German restaurant. It is decorated in traditional German decor. The meals are full courses. we love the veal entrees. Large seating capacity.
