I was scheduled to go to the dealer for my Passat rear brake pads that they told me I needed. I tried to get in on a Saturday and they were all booked. I also remembered how long it took to get things done at the service department by the time you check-in to completion. Went on line and found Brake Masters with some good reviews about Sal. Called on a Friday, told me to come on Sat. morning and they would do a free inspection to make sure I needed them. Yes, was the answer and he gave me a choice in pricing - sort of like generatic drugs and known brands. They were so nice. While they did the job, I walked down to Santa Monica Farmers Markethad breakfast and came back and the car done and about less expensive than I was quoted. They were terrific and I also learned that they will do other car repairs - oil change etc. Small, friendly, great pricing and highly recommend them along with going back again.‎

I just called them and spoke to Sal for a quote to get new rotors, new brakes and sensors all the way around for my 2002 BMW 3.25xi. The price they quoted me was over TWICE what other places in the area were quoting, and they weren't even using OEM parts. Their reasoning? "OEM pads leave dust on the rotors. We don't use OEM pads." Guess what? ALL pads leave dust on the rotors, and I was getting the rotors replaced anyway. Bullshit artists if you ask me. Judging by these reviews, they're written by ghost accounts from Sal and Eric themselves.‎

Eric and Sal, the guys who work the front counter, seem to be two of the more stand up guys in the neighborhood. i've been taking my car there for years, have never had to spend a ton of money, and always get my car back quick. i respect that place.‎

Sal and the rest of the team at Brake Masters did a great job on the front end of my Dodge caravan. I have always been impressed by their friendly and helpful attitude in all regards. The service is excellent and I would recommend them ...
