Looks like a warehouse, selection not so huge
This Border's store located near the Beverly Center in Beverly Hills is convenient, with great parking, and a good but not exactly impressive selection. The place feels less browsy than some other bookstores. And the coffee shop barely registers. The lines are fast however, and the staff knowledgably and friendly. Ask for a recommendation and expect some good picks.

This borders saves the Beverly Center which is practically bereft of book stores. The store is down a block across the street . The book selection is extensive but the cd's and dvd's are somewhat pricey.

a bit crowded and messy
This Borders is one of the less spectacular ones that I have been to. The aisles are narrow and the store feels quite crowded and scattered. The parking is crowded and you have to buy something to get validated otherwise it is really expensive. With a lot of the newer and larger Borders that have been built I see no reason to recommend this location. The selection is not that great in both books ad magazines. If you can, visit another Borders.

I love Borders. I have spent many hours there just browsing the book racks without the slightest pressure from staff to purchase anything. You are more than welcome to pick up a magazine from their astounding collection and pull up a chair and read. In fact, there's something very heartening about seeing people of all ages reading for a pastime. That's not to say I am not inclined to purchase something almost every visit. It's hard not to be enticed by their vast selection of books and periodicals, covering every topic imaginable. Also, it's fun to visit the music section and browse through the cds, pausing occasionally to listen on one of their many stations. They have a wonderful coffee bar on the top floor which offers many treats in addition to coffees. Book staff is very helpful. In fact, they seem to enjoy the challenge of locating a book, either in the store or on line. Although prices aren't discounted in the slightest, I highly recommend Borders for an afternoon (or evening) of browsing an
