Found this place while getting my guitar repaired in the same building. I kinda went in to kill some time, but ended up browsing for a couple hours. They had some really great books that I bought as gifts, and I even found a book on vintage ...

My sister had asked me to help her find a particular book on roses for her craft class. And i've been looking all over online for a used copy. Although most online sellers have some descriptions of the condition of the book, I'd still rather find a used copy at a local bookstore so i am actually able to inspect the quality (to see if it's worth the price they're asking...) I found Bookman through Google, saw the great reviews and thought why not stop by. And what do you know, they DO have the book. Though it is the older edition of the book, it is in excellent condition - no stain, no tears... or any other weird stuff.... And more importantly, the price of the book is very reasonable. If I had bought it online, I would have probably paid almost double (not including shipping). Am very happy with the purchase, staffs are really helpful as well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for used book ...

Went here on a whim because I was sick of corporate bookstores and wanted to support an independent one. Chose Bookman out of the short list I found of indie bookstores in my area, and it didn't disappoint. Wasn't looking for anything in particular, but as a film student, I gravitated towards the film section. Lots of great books there. Chose "The Conversations: Walter Murch and the Art of Editing Film" used at a decent price when it comes to film texts. It's a great place to browse and you never know what you might find.‎

I really like how they have a whole lot more to offer than the average shop. They are pretty fair on prices as well, and it's a nice change from the big chains like barnes and noble and borders.
