I'll admit, I sometimes fall into the trap of the big book chain. I go there for books and wander around lost till I find something. The I'll wander into a place like Book Works and swear Ill never go big chain again. This place is fantastic, its quiet and comfortable, two musts for book stores, they have agreat selection from fiction to reference to travel. They're also attached to a nice little cafe next door. If you looking for a great spot to go sit down and read for a while this is the spot.

Groovy little book store in the flower hill mall. Great spot to chill after you grab a tea next store, or are early for a movie.<br />

The store is really charming. Old floorboards which creak and bend with your steps. Books scattered around Buddhist statues and relics from around the world. I swear there should be a grandma knitting in a rocking chair and the place would be complete.<br />

The Book Works has been around for ages and with good reason! It is a comfy store with the feel of an old library. They have many books and offer readings and other activities. You'll find the tables outside and chairs inside overflowing on a Saturday and Sunday, many with mugs of coffee from next door.

Nice, homey bookstore: Bookworks has a nice atmosphere, lots of great books, great staff. It sponsors book groups and other activities. It is next door to the Pannikin Cafe (coffee house).

It is in the Flower Hill Mall near shops and an Ultra Star movie theater.
