I stumbled into Book Off as a lark, while I was shopping at the office supply store next door, and I've been going back ever since! Book Off is located on Kearny Mesa Road just south of Armour Street in Kearny Mesa. There's a lot of used merchandise in here, from books to DVDs to CDs to video games. There's also plenty of manga (Japanese graphic novels/comics), enough to quench the appetite of your ardent manga enthusiast. They also buy your used stuff (Books, DVDs, etc). You'll find a great bargain or two if you browse enough. I picked up Frank Zappa's "Freak Out" double CD for only $7.99, and it was in mint condition. I bring my kids here to look for books - why pay for a new one if you can find it here?
The place is a very well lit and clean environment. If you feel like browsing for this kind of stuff, you definitely should try Book Off. It may not have exactly all the items you're looking for, but you will very likely find a bargain here!
