I was looking for a longboard and had been to several shops, but I am unfortunately pretty ignorant since this is my first board. Out of all the different shops I went to Boarder Nation was the only place that actually took the time to give me some knowledge as to the differences in boards, trucks, bearings, wheels, and longboarding in general. Then they took the time to explain what all those differences mean to me in relation to my intended riding style. When it was all said and done I was so pleased with the service that I was willing to spend more money at this place just because of the customer service, but when I went to pay, the guy who helped me said that he would match any other shops prices. SOLD! I left Boarder Nation with a new longboard for cheaper than I could have gotten it at another shop, and I got a boatload of information and knowledge to boot. Every time ive been in there ive been treated with excellent customer service whether im just there to browse or take advantage of their solid deals. They usually have a half off or buy pants get jacket free on last year's gear type sales. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and take the time to explain the pros and cons of each piece of gear.‎

My husband and I have purchased several snowboards, skate boards & accessories from Boarder Nation. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and always eager to make sure we are happy. I have been shopping at this board shop for many years now and I will continue. The two brothers that own the shop take the time to explain all the new technology and they know what they are talking about because they really ride! Plus, they are not fake they are just as cool to me when I am getting a new set up like my new T-Rice, or when I am just there to look around.‎

I don't know exactly what kinda people shop here, but I have an idea based on the owner's attitude (and some of the other reviews posted here). Probably lotsa teenagers crowd the place out around Christmas and right before school starts and buy up hundreds of dollars worth of stuff without thinking twice. I've been skating for 13+ years, so I know what I want based on what I've used in the past. I don't need to be salesmaned into buying something that's a hot seller with the 14 year olds right now. So I tell the owner that I'm looking for some eS shoes and he says "We've got a lot of good ones," but doesn't bother telling me which ones are stocked or even ask my shoe size. Then while I'm browsing the selection, I realize that not only are they HORRIBLY overpriced, but they don't have any of the ones I want in my size (I have a common foot size).
