Bluebonnet Swamp by Ginger H. at InsiderPages
Nice place to go for a hike for outdoor-minded people. While we were there, they were doing construction to make it easier to get around on the paths. There are observation decks to go on and watch the animals in the swamp. Beware of spiders, though~~there are a LOT of them (being as it is outdoors LOL). We did not see many animals, though-but it was in the middle of the summer so it may have been too hot for the animals to come out.

The museum/gift shop is very nice. Admissions to Blubonnet very low priced, and the items in the gift shop vary from fair priced to a bit high-priced. Very friendly, helpful staff. They have some animals in cages inside the museum, plus a small area for small children to play if they get bored while Mom & Dad are looking around. Very clean and well-kept up.

PROS: too many to list
CONS: no restroom on the trail (a problem when hiking with kids)

Interesting and fun by mrs. B. at InsiderPages
The Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center is a gorgeous place to go, and is fun for your whole family. You can see wildlife and plants native to the swamps. It's a good place to go on field trips, but the younger kids might get bored. Their gift shops are nice, but overpriced.

PROS: Fun for all
CONS: none

Fun, educational walk by Penny S. at InsiderPages
The bluebonnet swamp is a great place to get some excercise and check out the local critters. The walk is paved most of the way and easy to push a stroller on. The center has day camps for kids during the summer as well. It is a little hot to walk in the summers, but spring and fall are beautiful at the Bluebonnet Swamp.
