The sushi was great tasting! So far I have yet to experience an ill sushi spot, thank goodness! The sushi menu is great! They offer non-sushi items which is pretty good. Although they aren't too kid friendly, they do accommodate. The ambiance is a little on the cramped side they could use more interior room. If someone were to get up from the table next to you be prepared to be bumped by that person. Happy Sushi!‎

interiors never bothered me too much because they all have faults, but this place was thrown together. single coat chalkie paint with most offensive so-called-artwork on walls. there was terrible lighting, low quality materials, and poor craftsmanship as our table wasn't leveled and had paint splatters on it. an unimpressive night started with badly made green tea which tasted like it came out of a lipton tea bag and was seeped minutes short of desired. sushi selection had maybe 25% of raw fish, yeah, really. everything else was cooked one was or another. this would be a great menu to introduce children to sushi, but boring for anyone else. waitress didn't assist much with incorrect naming on their menu and she failed to refill my tea until i waived her down in the midst of a busy four patron wednesday night. rice was good and sushi wasn't bad, but just okay for this city, which isn't saying much considering chicago's below average sushi. we ate and left quickly. ...

Blue fin. It's sushi you can eat, all night long. Both the food and the ambiance are great for any date, whether it's your first or just one for a late Sat night meal.‎

went here on a dinner date with my boyfriend and we had a great time! we got this appetizer on the menu special that had a shrimp, scallop, and lobster that was very well marinated and very full of flavor. we got the hot night, tornado, and this one other roll that was baked with sweet potato and stuff and all were awesome. the combinations of ingredients in their rolls are outstandingly put together and very mouth watering. loved it!!!‎

my friend recommended this place for nice and fresh sushi, so i went just a few days ago. the Tender Sushi. Little Dragon, and the Hot Night Maki was just wonderful and it was very different from other sushi restaurants. when i first came in, the staff by the bar yelled something and it was very exciting to see them. i felt very comfortable. the staff at Blue Fin were very nice and careful... if you're looking for a good-tasting, friendly, and a fun restaurant, i really recommend this restaurant to you.
