this past summer of '07, two black employees were rude to white customers (and not just to me). laughing at the rental choices we had made...showin' their co-worker (a black woman) the titles, and saying that's crap and mumbling other derogatory and unwanted reviews.

on another occasion a week later, during the afternoon, the black woman clerk spent almost 10 minutes in the back of the store talking to a black male customer, while there was a line waiting. evidently she was in or had been in the service, had been to Iraq, and had stories to tell her friend.

we tried to make noises indicating there were people waiting to check out; eventually after the 4th person stood in line, she said loudly Excuse Me. the black woman employee looked our way, crossed her arms, and then looked back at her friend, rolled her eyes, and kept talking. I left my rentals on the counter and walked out.

i wanted to call and report both these incidents, but figured i'd be called a racist. i'm a registered democrat, and have several black friends. i've told them about this and they were as shocked as was i. oh well. i'm getting it off my chest now.
