Since 1950 we've been called upon to move tons of machinery and equipment throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area and up and down the East coast. We've moved everything from a 220,000 lb. stamping press to a 3,000 lb. statue for a local art museum. We've installed a 65,000 lb. injection mold machine or disassembled and shipped a 80,000 lb. grinder. Big Boy's has worked extensively in the defense industry handling sensitive and sophisticated radar equipment. Big or small, delicate or unique, we've got the equipment and skilled personnel to handle the job. Our family business is in its 3rd generation and we're proud of the performance record we've established over the years. The fact that we are able to maintain a top rating with our insurance carrier proves this. Our services include evaluation and planning of your move, including special scheduling to accommodate production schedules. We can store equipment in one of our warehouses while preparations for installation are being made. We will disassemble, move and install heavy equipment anywhere, anytime. Call Big Boy's for the tough jobs. We will do it right the first time and every time. When you've got something valuable to move...when its big and heavy or very fragile, machine or art, statues or generators...if you've got to move it then it's time to call Big Boy's Rigging. We've got what it takes to get the job done right. The job shown involved the jacking, moving and disassembly of a 80,000 lb. grinding machine. The machine was disassembled in Baltimore County and delivered to a machine rebuild in Rhode Island. The entire process took place in less than 24 working hours including drive time. Big Boys carefully jacked up the machine out of a 3 foot pit and moved it out of the building where the top part of the machine was lifted off the base. Two rigs were used to transport the two parts to their destination.
